How is this Course Going to Help Me?

This mega bundle includes all of the chess training programs Susan has produced, split by chess strength and topic.

From beginner to advanced level, this chess course will cover everything from positional chess and tactics to attacking play and endgames. This mega bundle represents a complete chess course.

Each topic is built up piece by piece, making sure you understand a lesson fully and then adding to it again and again until it becomes second nature.

For instance, one lesson shows the basics of a Bishop sacrifice on h7, then provides further information on when it works and when it doesn’t.

Then you’ll witness games from GM play where a series of complications results in the sacrifice. The opponent almost defends successfully only to fall into another combination – which was the original idea all the time!

Drawing on the most instructive games from players like Garry Kasparov and Mikhail Tal, Susan demonstrates the art of attack in chess, teaching you how to build an initiative, how to gain aggressive squares for your pieces and how to identify the critical moment when you must strike.

Is this Chess Training Program for me?

If you’d like to learn the art of defense from Karpov and Petrosian, using prophylaxis and positional exchange sacrifices to destroy your opponent’s plans and leave them with a passive position, then this is definitely for you.

From the games of Smyslov and Botvinnik, Susan extracts the key principles of positional chess and strategy. The art of evaluating a position, trading pieces to gain an advantage and interpreting pawn structures to find the strongest plan are all covered.

The components of tactical play are built up from the basic motifs such as skewers and pins into complicated variations where many lines have to be analyzed – all with a smooth learning curve.

The same with endgames. The essential King and pawn endgames are covered first, then the most important Rook endgames. Only in the later lessons do the most technical endings and deepest endgame strategies get discussed.

The games of Bobby Fischer are a constant source of lessons in this bundle too. Susan Polgar knew Bobby personally and has studied his games in depth. His clear style and precise play make his games perfect to learn from.

All in all, the Polgar Mega Bundle chess training program is a complete 1000-2200 Elo training program which will give the serious student a very strong all-around game with no holes in their knowledge.

The structure of this course, together with Susan’s clear explanations of each topic, will help you achieve your potential quickly.

Enjoy your new chess training program!

I picked this up for my wife and I. My wife is an absolute beginner while I am more of an intermediate player. There is quite a bit of information in this bundle and I’m excited to get started. The only question I have would be where to start.

I recommend you to start with beginner packages. I would combine them in order to achieve a balanced improvement.

    Hi there,
since a few days I have bought the P C U Megabundle, the material looks good
and there is a lot to study(visual by video). The only thing what me disappointed is
that there are no practiceproblems to solve(excersises.etc.) and some general explanation via text was also a good idea or maybe it is inside?

    • ichess

Thank you for your latest purchase. I’m confident that you will enjoy your chess bundle. As you say these courses don’t include additional practical exercises but the samples explained in the videos have been carefully selected. You can use them as a practical tool if you pause the video before the solutions and then you try to solve them.

Why did you not include some practiceproblems to solve?
GM Daiman Lemos did, in his empire collection.

I purchased the mega bundle and I think it will be very useful. There are some housekeeping issues that you can help me with.
    1. Because I am reviewing and remember some of the sequences is there a way to skip to the next problem quickly?
    2. In my download there is a blue marking in the first few sessions on the left hand side. Then there are several blank one followed by green markings. Explanation?
    3. Is there a way to mark within the program that I have completed a particular segment?
    Thank you

    Sam Scott
