Bobby Fischer Vs Garry Kasparov – Mastering The Sicilian Najdorf

Sicilian Najdorf – Sozin Attack

If you want to master one of the most deadly openings in chess, the Sicilian Najdorf, with expert analysis of the memorable games of 2 world champions in an incredible Bobby Fischer vs Garry Kasparov Sicilian Najdorf battle, then this course is perfect for you.

The Sicilian Najdorf is one of the sharpest openings in chess, demanding incredible energy and resourcefulness from both sides to maintain the balance in strongly double-edged positions.

The Fischer-Sozin Attack with 6. Bc4 is well known as one of the most complicated lines in the Najdorf, as White immediately declares his aggressive intentions of controlling the critical d5 square and increasing the pressure on the a2-g8 diagonal.

The Najdorf Variation of the Sicilian Defense is one of the most complex opening systems ever conceived, achieving mass popularity in the mid-20th century mainly due to the early efforts of Argentine Grandmaster Miguel Najdorf and later the 11th World Chess Champion Bobby Fischer.

Bobby Fischer brings the Sicilian Najdorf to the forefront

Fischer improved the Najdorf as a system by employing it at the very highest level of chess in his time, developing the system as a well-rounded and incredibly dangerous weapon against anyone opponent who dared play 1. e4.

Fischer’s responses to the main lines in the Najdorf (6. Bc4, 6. Bg5, 6. Be2, 6. Be3, etc..) demonstrated a pragmatic approach to opening play in such a double-edged system, not forcing matters but preferring a very direct approach to active development and a coordinated, energetic position with the black pieces.

Fischer’s theoretical contributions in the 1960s brought the Najdorf to the forefront of modern chess, giving rise to the popularity of this double-edged opening system to players of all levels.

The Opening Further Evolves Under Kasparov

Garry Kasparov is one of the few world champions in the era of computers to have the guts and depth of preparation to employ the Najdorf at the highest level in chess.

Kasparov’s theoretical contributions to the Najdorf are immense, as he played the opening with such energy and activity that many of his opponents were forced to avoid 1.e4 as white because Kasparov was simply too well prepared in the Sicilian Najdorf.

Studying the games of Bobby Fischer will give you an excellent background on the fundamentals of the opening. However, studying the critical games of Garry Kasparov will provide you with the type of precision and insane activity that is required to excel in the Sicilian Najdorf at the elite level.

Take your Najdorf to The Next Level

This DVD is guaranteed to take your opening play as black against 1. e4 to another level, as you will undoubtedly be prepared to fight as actively and energetically as Fischer and Kasparov with one of the most dangerous openings in the game of chess.

I hope you will enjoy watching this DVD as much as I did making it!
