Eugene is a very clear teacher

Eugene is a very clear teacher and I own some of his previous videos. So far these videos are on different openings eg KID, Scandinavian and all material is just repackaged from Chess .com where I had already seen it. Useful to have it in one series I suppose but not what I was expecting.

So far so good. There is a lot

So far so good. There is a lot of material here so I'm finding it best to work through in small sessions; this allows me to absorb the info before I move on. Still a long way to go, but looks like an excellent package that I'm sure I'll play through time and again.

A decent chess course and a go

A decent chess course and a good value. Like many chess courses there is quite a lot of focus on opening systems rather than core middle game analysis. Opening systems are very practicle as well as boring. I usually favor Igor Smirnov's style.

This chess course by GM Perels

This chess course by GM Perelshteyn opens my eyes on chess concepts like powerful and attacking **** chains, **** formations or **** structures that can be reached from any opening where it tells you which part of the board you should focus your attack based on the arrow that your pawns are pointing at. Some of the openings mentioned where you can create **** chains are the King's Indian Defense, Stonewall Dutch and Sicilian Grand Prix. So if you play King's Indian or Stonewall then you should watch this. You will learn simple but effective way of playing chess if you know **** chains. And if you are having problems on how to play against the Sicilian then there's also a **** chain that you can used to make your chess simple. I also learned exchange sacrifice upon watching the game of GM Carlsen wherein he executed this concept to beat GM Nakamura. There's also 5 GM tips on how to improve your tactics and 5 GM tips on how to improve your strategy.

An instructive attacking game

Gm Eugene Perelshteyn Power Chess Bundle

Some may know a somewhat famous attacking plan in the hedgehog set-up where Black plays Kh8 Rg8 and then g5-g4 starting an attack on the king.

In the game Ippolito – Perelshteyn, Black employs a similar plan without “wasting time” on castling and Kh8.

Despite the total lack of weaknesses on the White kingside, the loss of a queenside pawn, and the opening of the center, the GM finds creative ways to whip up murderous threats leading to an all-out kill-or-be-killed brawl.

Beauty And Entertainment: Creating Your Own Chess Study

Given up on your dream of becoming a GM? Why not give chess composing a try? GM Eugene Perelshteyn walks you through the steps of creating your own masterpiece.

He shows you his original creation and dissects the placement of every piece and pawn, showing why he added each. If you appreciate the beauty of Troitsky, Kubbel, and Rinck, you’ll want to watch. If you don’t know who they are, you’ll want to tune in to find out!

Magnus Carlsen’s Lesson On Planning Against Nakamura

How does Magnus Carlsen plan against Hikaru Nakamura? GM Eugene Perelshteyn gives you an in-depth look at Carlsen’s preparation for this world-class battle against America’s top player.

Watch how Carlsen develops a powerful center and a devastating attack in one of the most popular openings, the Italian Game.

Play Powerful Positional Chess Like Magnus Carlsen

You know that Magnus Carlsen is a brilliant positional player, but do you know why? GM Eugene Perelshteyn reviews an instructive Carlsen win against Vishy Anand from the 2013 Tal Memorial tournament.

Find out GM Perelshteyn’s advice on how to play against the “hanging pawns” that Anand took pains to avoid in the game.
