<h4>Ideas Behind the Bogo-Indian – GM Eugene Perelshteyn</h4>
The Bogo-Indian Defense is a chess opening characterized by the moves: 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e6 3. Nf3 Bb4. The position arising after 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 is common. The traditional move for White here is 3.Nc3, threatening to set up a big pawn center with 4.e4.

However, 3.Nf3 is often played instead as a way of avoiding the Nimzo-Indian Defense (which would follow after 3.Nc3 Bb4). After 3.Nf3, Black usually plays 3…b6 (the Queen’s Indian Defense) or 3…d5 (leading to the Queen’s Gambit Declined), but can instead play 3…Bb4 , the Bogo-Indian, named after Efim Bogoljubov.

This opening is not as popular as the Queen’s Indian, but is seen occasionally at all levels.

It has been played with success against World Champion Anand who even prepared before playing against it and still could only manage a draw. To sum it up its legally cheating at chess because with a little amount of energy you will get a high return. Its an opening you can't wait to start playing but you hope no one else finds out about it.

<em>The Nimzo Indian Defense: A Surprising Idea For Black Against The Capablanca Variation (4.Qc2)</em>

One of the most testing variations for White against the Nimzo Indian Defense is the move 4.Qc2, known as the Capablanca variation.

With this move, White not only protects the knight on c3 in order to avoid doubled pawns after …Bxc3, but also keeps an eye on the e4-square to seize even more space in the center.

GM Eugene Perelshteyn, a renowned expert on the Nimzo Indian Defense, takes a look at a surprisingly easy-to-learn variation to neutralize White’s pressure. He recommends the relatively rare move 4…Nc6 (4…d5, 4…0-0 and 4…c5 are the main moves).

<em>This chess DVD will teach you about common tactical patterns and attacking set-ups</em>, and how you can come out on top with the black pieces!

Aside from reviewing the main lines and move orders, Grandmaster Perelshteyn also instructs viewers on deeper ideas and profound positional concepts.

Many chess DVDs will teach you the move orders and nothing else – however, “The Accelerated Dragon” by GM Eugene Perelshteyn focuses on the ideas behind the moves so that you can really understand how to play the positions that can arise.

After watching this chess DVD, if your opponent deviates from the main moves early in the game – you will have nothing to worry about because you will truly understand the most effective PLANS, instead of memorizing topical move orders!

GM Eugine Perelshteyn recommends a hypermodern approach with an immediate kingside fianchetto in order to avoid early deviations from the Accelerated Dragon (ie the Rossolimo Variation with 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5).

Perelshteyn will also analyze some of his own games against other strong GMs, which will instruct you on how to proceed in different types of positions.

Many chess DVDs will teach you the move orders and nothing else – however in ¨Destroy White with the Accelerated Dragon¨ GM Eugene Perelshteyn focuses on the ideas behind the moves.

After watching this chess DVD, if your opponent deviates from the main moves early in the game, you will have nothing to worry about because you will truly understand the most effective plans, instead of memorizing topical move orders!

This chess DVD presents over 2.5 hours of extremely high-quality grandmaster instruction, reviewing all of the main lines and sidelines in the Accelerated Dragon system.

GM Perelshteyn recommends a hypermodern approach with an immediate kingside fianchetto to avoid early deviations from the Accelerated Dragon (such as the Rossolimo Variation with 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5).

With this hypermodern approach, you can narrow down your focus in the opening to really choose the lines that you want to research and play.
<h4>Dominate White w/ the King’s Indian Defense 6. ..Na6 System – GM Eugene Perelshteyn</h4>
<figure id="attachment_443203" class="wp-caption alignright" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-443203"><img class="size-full wp-image-443203" title="Dominate White W/ The King’s Indian Defense 6. ..na6 System – Gm Eugene Perelshteyn" src="https://cdn1.ichess.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/the-kings-indian-defense-6...na6-variation.jpg" sizes="(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" srcset="https://cdn1.ichess.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/the-kings-indian-defense-6...na6-variation.jpg 300w, https://cdn1.ichess.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/the-kings-indian-defense-6...na6-variation-100x100.jpg 100w" alt="Dominate White W/ The King’s Indian Defense 6. ..na6 System – Gm Eugene Perelshteyn" width="300" height="301" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-443203" class="wp-caption-text">The Kings Indian Defense 6…Na6 variation</figcaption></figure>
GM Perelshteyn has experienced high rates of success at the grandmaster level with the 6. …Na6 System of the King’s Indian Defense due to his deep understanding of the subtleties in this fascinating sideline.

Black deviates from the main lines early by employing a highly flexible knight maneuver to the edge of the board that is surprisingly difficult for white to exploit.

<em>The 6. …Na6 System is excellent for beginner and intermediate players because it does not require extensive memorization</em> like other chess openings and other lines of the King’s Indian Defense.

Rather this 6. …Na6 sideline is more based on general ideas and understanding. Grandmaster Perelshteyn’s presentation is remarkably entertaining, clear, and organized – focusing more on the reasons behind the moves than direct memorization of lines and move orders.

<em>The King’s Indian defense has been a deadly weapon successfully employed by some of the greatest Grandmasters of all times</em>: GMs like the living legend Gary Kasparov, the unforgettable Bobby Fischer, Mikhail Tal, and many more.

Scoring a win with the black pieces is not an easy task, especially when your opponent doesn’t want to push for much with the white pieces.

That’s the reason why is recommendable to have an aggressive opening system to employ with the black pieces when in need to look for the full point.

If you want to learn a concept-based chess opening that is guaranteed to give you strong chances to fight for a win with black against 1. d4, this chess DVD is the solution you have been looking for!
<h4>Stomping White with the Stonewall Defense – GM Eugene Perelshteyn</h4>
If you are looking for a reliable weapon for black against 1. d4 where you can transfer the weight of the struggle to the middlegame, the Stonewall Defense will be a great addition to your opening repertoire.

<img class="alignright wp-image-9756 size-full" title="Stomping White With The Stonewall Defense – Gm Eugene Perelshteyn" src="https://cdn1.ichess.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stonewall-Defense-Sample-Position-e1536885285499.png" sizes="(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" srcset="https://cdn1.ichess.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stonewall-Defense-Sample-Position-e1536885285499.png 300w, https://cdn1.ichess.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stonewall-Defense-Sample-Position-e1536885285499-100x100.png 100w" alt="Stomping White With The Stonewall Defense – Gm Eugene Perelshteyn" width="300" height="300" />From a superficial glance, the Stonewall Defense, a common variation of the Dutch Defense, may appear very simple (place your pawns on the light squares, trade your light-squared bishop or activate it via ..b6 and ..Ba6, and don’t let white play e4).

Grandmaster Eugene Perelshteyn demonstrates multiple effective methods to develop or trade-off that potential ¨problem bishop¨ located on c8.

GM Perelshteyn is quick to point out common tactical and positional pitfalls. The Stonewall Defense also has an undeserved reputation for being a very drawish, passive opening, but GM Perelshteyn presents multiple attacking patterns in the center and kingside for black that can destroy any opponent with the white pieces!

The Stonewall Defense is an exceptionally solid choice for black against 1. d4, based on strong positional ideas that are very tough to crack!
<h4>Studies in: The Dutch Defense – Mackenzie, Kraai, GM Eugene Perelshteyn, Vigorito &amp; Wallace</h4>
The Dutch Defense was employed regularly in the past by Alekhine, Larsen, Morphy, and Najdorf. The high-water mark for the Defense occurred in 1951, when both Mikhail Botvinnik, the world champion, and his challenger, David Bronstein, played it in their World Championship match. Not found as often in modern games, but regularly used successfully by GM Hikaru Nakamura.

<h4>Studies in: The Budapest Gambit – GM Eugene Perelshteyn &amp; FM Dennis Monokroussos</h4>
The Budapest Gambit (or Budapest Defense) begins with the moves: 1.d4 Nf6 2. C4 e5 The Budapest Gambit contains several specific strategic themes. In numerous variations the move c4–c5 allows White to gain space and to open prospects for his light-squared bishop.

For Black, the check Bf8–b4+ often allows rapid development. Once used by Vidmar to beat Rubinstein convincingly in just 24 moves.

<h4>The Caro-Kann Exchange Variation from White’s Perspective – GM Eugene Perelshteyn</h4>
GM Perelshtyen shows how to employ the Exchange Variation as he often has at the GM Level. The Exchange Variation 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.exd5 cxd5 is a very subtle line for white to fight for a long-term positional advantage based on a rapid development of your two bishops that will make it very difficult in turn for black to develop his bishops to active diagonals.

<h4>King’s Indian Against the Four Pawns Attack – GM Eugene Perelshteyn</h4>
In the Kings Indian Defense, Four Pawns Variation White builds up a large pawn center and gains a spatial advantage. Black develops quickly, then works to undermine White’s center with a Pawn attack. Black must strike quickly to try and open the position before White can consolidate the space advantage that his center has gained him.

<h4>Winning with the Grand Prix Attack Bb5 System – GM Eugene Perelshteyn</h4>
The Grand Prix Attack Bb5 System is both an aggressive and positional chess opening. White prepares an attack on the kingside with an early f4 while maintaining the threat of doubling black’s pawns with Bxc6 – applying similar positional concepts as found in the Nimzo-Indian Defense.

If you are a 1. e4 player who has trouble against the main lines of the Sicilian Defense, and you don’t want to dedicate dozens of hours of valuable chess studying time to memorizing all of the variations so you can achieve an ending at .43 – why not try a different system to get better results with less effort?

This setup is perfect for the beginner and intermediate chess player because it is driven by an understanding of positional concepts and thematic attacking plans – NOT memorization of move orders! In this 2-hour chess DVD, Grandmaster Eugene Perelshteyn presents his deep knowledge and experience of how to crush the Sicilian Defense with the Grand Prix Attack Bb5 System.

GM Perelshteyn and his former chess coach-GM Roman Dzindzichasvili have used the Grand Prix Attack Bb5 System with great success over their distinguished careers, scoring a number of impressive victories with the dangerous sideline system for white against the Sicilian Defense.
<h4>Studies in: Alekhine Defense – Paschall, Smith, GM Eugene Perelshteyn &amp; Mackenzie</h4>
Alekhine’s Defense is a hypermodern chess opening that begins with the moves: 1. e4 Nf6 This bizarre defense introduced by the chess champion Alekhine and later practiced by Gruenfeld is the extreme in hypermodern openings because of its unbalanced nature provoking a weakness in White’s center pawns.

<h4>Crush the Caro-Kann with the Exchange Variation – GM Eugene Perelshteyn</h4>
<img class="size-medium wp-image-9765 alignleft" src="https://cdn1.ichess.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/GM-Eugene-Perelshteyn-200x300.jpg" sizes="(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px" srcset="https://cdn1.ichess.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/GM-Eugene-Perelshteyn-200x300.jpg 200w, https://cdn1.ichess.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/GM-Eugene-Perelshteyn.jpg 427w" alt="GM Eugene Perelshteyn" width="200" height="300" />The Caro-Kann Defense is an extremely solid opening choice for black against 1. e4. While the Advanced Variation involving 1. e4 c6 2. d4 d5 3. e5 is certainly the most topical variation for white in the 21st century, it is definitely the most thoroughly studied and well-known line by Caro-Kann players.

However, the Exchange Variation with 1. e4 c6 2. d4 d5 3. exd5 is not nearly as popular because many players (incorrectly!) think that this line is very drawish and promises white little chances to fight for an advantage from the opening.

Viewers of the 2.5 hour chess DVD ¨Crush the Caro-Kann with the Exchange Variation¨ will find out that this is simply not the case! The Exchange Variation is a very subtle line for white to fight for a long-term positional advantage based on a rapid development of his two bishops that will make it very difficult for black to in turn develop his bishops to active diagonals.

White has many different methods to play for an advantage in the Exchange Variation and presenter Grandmaster Eugene Perelshteyn does an excellent job of explaining white’s most accurate lines of play.

Chess Fans have said<strong>:</strong> Interesting! A pretty nice variation that first originated in some of GM Motwani’s games. It really gives a new blood to a quite old classical opening. Its major merit to me is that it gives the Black nice opportunities to equalize without much pain. Believe me…only after this lecture I started playing the system recommended by GM Eugene Perelshteyn. I am thrilled and have won several games even against stronger players. Black does get good development. A lot of the players are not familiar with this. Many thanks Eugene.

<h4>The Reti for White – GM Eugene Perelshteyn</h4>
The Réti Opening is a hypermodern chess opening whose traditional or classic method begins with the moves: 1. Nf3 d5, 2. c4 Named after Richard Réti (1889–1929), an untitled Grandmaster from Czechoslovakia, this opening is in the spirit of the hypermodernism movement that Réti championed, with the center being dominated by counter attacks from the flanks.

In this DVD Eugene demonstrates two interesting lines for white in the Reti and then gives us an example of the Reti in action with his best game in the 2008 Spice cup.

Ideas Behind the Bogo-Indian – GM Eugene Perelshteyn

The Accelerated Dragon – GM Eugene Perelshteyn

If you are searching for an opening for black against 1. e4 that will give you a very solid position with extremely dynamic possibilities in the middlegame – the Accelerated Dragon is the perfect solution for you.

How to Play The Accelerated Dragon – GM Eugene Perelshteyn
The Accelerated Dragon – Initial Position

This chess DVD will teach you about common tactical patterns and attacking set-ups, and how you can come out on top with the black pieces!

Destroy White With The Accelerated Dragon – Gm Eugene Perelshteyn
The Accelerated Dragon – Mainline

Dominate White w/ the King’s Indian Defense 6. ..Na6 System – GM Eugene Perelshteyn

Dominate White W/ The King’s Indian Defense 6. ..na6 System – Gm Eugene Perelshteyn
The Kings Indian Defense 6…Na6 variation

GM Perelshteyn has experienced high rates of success at the grandmaster level with the 6. …Na6 System of the King’s Indian Defense due to his deep understanding of the subtleties in this fascinating sideline.

Black deviates from the main lines early by employing a highly flexible knight maneuver to the edge of the board that is surprisingly difficult for white to exploit.

The 6. …Na6 System is excellent for beginner and intermediate players because it does not require extensive memorization like other chess openings and other lines of the King’s Indian Defense.

Rather this 6. …Na6 sideline is more based on general ideas and understanding. Grandmaster Perelshteyn’s presentation is remarkably entertaining, clear, and organized – focusing more on the reasons behind the moves than direct memorization of lines and move orders.

The King’s Indian defense has been a deadly weapon successfully employed by some of the greatest Grandmasters of all times: GMs like the living legend Gary Kasparov, the unforgettable Bobby Fischer, Mikhail Tal, and many more.

Stomping White with the Stonewall Defense – GM Eugene Perelshteyn

If you are looking for a reliable weapon for black against 1. d4 where you can transfer the weight of the struggle to the middlegame, the Stonewall Defense will be a great addition to your opening repertoire.

Stomping White With The Stonewall Defense – Gm Eugene PerelshteynFrom a superficial glance, the Stonewall Defense, a common variation of the Dutch Defense, may appear very simple (place your pawns on the light squares, trade your light-squared bishop or activate it via ..b6 and ..Ba6, and don’t let white play e4).

Studies in: The Dutch Defense – Mackenzie, Kraai, GM Eugene Perelshteyn, Vigorito & Wallace

Studies in: The Budapest Gambit – GM Eugene Perelshteyn & FM Dennis Monokroussos

The Caro-Kann Exchange Variation from White’s Perspective – GM Eugene Perelshteyn

King’s Indian Against the Four Pawns Attack – GM Eugene Perelshteyn

In the Kings Indian Defense, Four Pawns Variation White builds up a large pawn center and gains a spatial advantage. Black develops quickly, then works to undermine White’s center with a Pawn attack. Black must strike quickly to try and open the position before White can consolidate the space advantage that his center has gained him.

Winning with the Grand Prix Attack Bb5 System – GM Eugene Perelshteyn

Studies in: Alekhine Defense – Paschall, Smith, GM Eugene Perelshteyn & Mackenzie

Crush the Caro-Kann with the Exchange Variation – GM Eugene Perelshteyn

GM Eugene PerelshteynThe Caro-Kann Defense is an extremely solid opening choice for black against 1.

Chess Fans have said: Interesting!

The Reti for White – GM Eugene Perelshteyn

The Réti Opening is a hypermodern chess opening whose traditional or classic method begins with the moves: 1. Nf3 d5, 2. c4 Named after Richard Réti (1889–1929), an untitled Grandmaster from Czechoslovakia, this opening is in the spirit of the hypermodernism movement that Réti championed, with the center being dominated by counter attacks from the flanks.

In this DVD Eugene demonstrates two interesting lines for white in the Reti and then gives us an example of the Reti in action with his best game in the 2008 Spice cup.
