“Why this course was created?

Nowadays, you need to have some unique skills if you want to beat an experienced opponent. You need to have special knowledge which is not presented in chess books.

Some strong players know these weapons, however they will never tell you. Nevertheless, now you can get this knowledge from the course “How to Beat Stronger Opponents”

This course assumes that you have studied the chess basics already. So it is rather for intermediate and advanced players.

I’d also like to emphasize that the course is NOT only for titled players, but for everyone, except for the world champion 🙂 as we all have stronger opponents.

“What will you get from the chess Course?”

  • 100 special tasks and games for your training.
  • The detailed instructions about what and how exactly you should train.
  • The concrete examples with commentaries about how exactly you should apply 5 winning weapons in different situations.

“What is the point?”

Today, there is an overabundance of chess books, CDs, and other educational materials. That’s why every serious player knows all the chess basics. Everyone knows what is “a weak square”, “the center”, “a fork” and other well-known strategic and tactical motifs.

The quantities of strong players have considerably increased in the last few years. They play well. The problem is that all of them study the same chess books and programs and accumulate similar knowledge.

That is why at a certain stage of your chess development you are faced with a question “How to beat an experienced opponent?” That’s why we can often only make a draw (as the best result) against a stronger opponent.

“What’s New compared to “How to Beat Titled Players”?

Of course there is. You know that everyone loses. Even a strong Grandmaster loses games sometimes. It means that there is a way to beat him.

Pretty often, a weaker player wins against a stronger opponent. Again, it means that it is possible to do. The question is “HOW can you do it?”. How can you beat a titled player or a player whose rating is 100-200 points higher than yours?

To give you a key to success, I have decided to create such a chess program. It took about 3 months to present my knowledge and experience in an integral and compact product. Now with a pride I am presenting the course “How to beat titled players”.

Chess course “How to Beat Titled Players” contains the video lessons.

Lesson 1: “The Key to Victory”

In this lesson, I will tell you in general how it is possible to beat titled players. You will understand clearly:

  • The general concept about how to win against titled players.
  • Why most players can get only a draw (as the best result) against a stronger opponent.
  • How to beat a player whose rating is 100-200 points higher than yours.
  • How to break the well-known chess “rules” to get great results.
  • How to use the weaknesses of your opponent’s psychology to gain a victory.
  • The secret of strong players, which they use to beat titled players.
  • How to make your opponent feel nervous.
  • Boris Spassky’s secret regarding beating strong opponents.
  • What is the most effective style of playing?

Lesson-2: “The First Weapon”.

Starting from the second lesson, I will be telling you the concrete weapons, which will allow you to beat stronger players. You will study what and how exactly you should do to use these weapons practically. After the study of the second lesson, you will know:

  • How it is possible to create an attack against a strong opponent.
  • Why most attacking attempts fail.
  • How to detect the opponent’s mistakes and use them.
  • The exact system of thinking, which will allow you to find the most powerful attacking ideas.
  • What you should do in case your attack doesn’t work.
  • How to easily detect whether your attack will be successful or not.
  • How to break the defense of a titled opponent.
  • What, when, and how exactly you should attack to gain a victory.
  • The one extra secret, which will help you to make your attack much more effective.

Lesson-3: “The Second Weapon”.

This lesson provides information about:

  • How to get the extra skills, which most chess players (even pretty strong players) don’t have.
  • How to use the common stereotypes to make unpleasant surprises for your strong opponents.
  • How to find the unexpected moves regularly.
  • How to play when your strong opponent is pressuring you.
  • How to find the good moves even in very dangerous situations.
  • The secret of strong Grandmasters, which allows them to play successfully in a very risky style.
  • Why the strong players are able to stay calm when they are under an attack.
  • How to find the moves missed by your opponent.
  • The exact rules of thinking, which will allow you to make very unpleasant moves for your strong opponents.

Lesson-4: “The Third Weapon”.

This lesson is pretty important not only to win against titled players, but also to be able to beat a weaker opponent, who plays for a draw. Here we will discuss:

  • Why it is necessary to create problems for your opponent always.
  • One great advantage over most chess players, which you can get easily.
  • How to complicate a position to get more winning chances.
  • Why do the strong players always make complications.
  • You will understand better how to choose the right openings.
  • How to win the game when your strong opponent is playing for a draw.
  • How to play safely in a risky style.
  • Why some strong players lose some positions easily and quickly.
  • How to find the right moves in unbalanced positions.

Lesson-5: “The Fourth Weapon”.

Everyone knows this weapon, but most players can’t use it effectively. Here I will tell you how exactly you can get the most benefit from this weapon. Also you will study:

  • You will study how the strongest players evaluate a position.
  • How to find positional sacrifice ideas regularly.
  • How to beat titled players in the opening.
  • You will be able to choose the best direction in the complex positions.
  • The positional sacrifice, which works great nearly always.
  • How to find the powerful ideas, which seem impossible.
  • You will avoid one great mistake which stops most players from beating stronger opponents.
  • One secret of the former Soviet chess school, which makes your game much more powerful and allows you to play much faster.
  • How to find the best places for your pieces.
  • How to make an effective positional sacrifice in an opening.
  • The powerful positional sacrifice idea, which most players don’t know (and there is no information about it in chess books).

Lesson-6: “The Fifth Weapon”.

This weapon is one of my favorite ones. It is quite simple (when you understand it) and extremely effective at the same time. I am sure that you will use it with great results.

  • How you can confuse your opponent and force him to make mistakes.
  • One great delusion of most chess players.
  • How to break the plans of a titled player.
  • How to think during a chess game to have a 100% guarantee of a good result.
  • Why A. Karpov lead by a score 5:0 against G. Kasparov in their first World Championship match.
  • The great idea, which helps to find good moves in any positions.
  • How to use a prophylaxis to win the games.

This is an advanced course. If you plan to be a GM or an IM in a year or two, and finding difficulty in defeating or drawing with GMs/ IMs, this course will help you immensely. I think 1600 – 2200 players can take full advantage of this course. But others also can plan fast development with this course. – NM William Stewart

“The impact on the quality of my play and tournament results has been immediate.”

Igor’s course ‘How to beat titled players’ is packed with valuable practical advice. Just like his two previous works ‘The Grandmaster’s Secrets’ and ‘The Grandmaster’s Openings Laboratory’, Igor Smirnov has a way of explaining complex ideas in an accessible way while introducing you to material that I have never seen elswhere.

Let me emphasize the course is very much focused on practical aspects of improving your chess. I cannot rate this material highly enough and recommend it without reservation. The impact on the quality of my play and tournament results has been immediate.

This latest course helps you understand how to go about beating stronger players and not just in an abstract way but, assuming you are willing to work hard at the course work he gives you, in a manner that improves your playing strength.

“I am going through the most wonderful chess course ever created.”

i am going through the most wonderful chess course ever will take time to go through the practical part i am repeatedly going through the videos to absorb the the games of julian hodgson and mikhail tal can be seen in clearer light.even playing that style has a formula which your course proves.

one can become a fearsome opponent if the ideas of beating titled players can be applied.even the strongest players will crack up if one can use the techniques given.i am happy that i have all the courses you have made so far.the last course complements grandmasters chess secrets.this course clearly shows how to get those positions from where one can execute combinations.even subtle ideas have been made easy to understand.studying chess with your videos is really enjoyable studying otherwise is so tedious which we all know.

i request you to make a course on very important practical positions from the middlegame and endgame preferably in the form of a video, say sixty to eighty positions that can be remembered always.nobody can explain better than you.
In addition to what I have already written, I think it is important to mention that the examples selected by you in “Beating Titled Players” are so real that it appears that I had played similar positions before.I must appreciate your selection of examples.

Yes I am playing much better after studying gm secrets and beating titled players.I have to go through the practical part of the latter thoroughly.I believe your courses will be recognised as the best courses ever created that would invariably improve ones playing ability.Very well compiled and illustrated.

    With warm regards

“I have learnt so much already from the first few modules…”

My teacher told me, that I am already the best player at my school!
I am 10 years old and live in Dubai (UAE), I am in the 5th grade.
I started to play chess a few years ago, my parent taught me the rules and some basic strategies.
Even though I knew the game, I did not have the right strategical understanding to beat stronger opponents…but after watching Igor Smirnovs GM Secrets (together with my Dad) I suddenly was able to beat all players of my school (even the teachers, which played for years) and I managed to win against my Dad (former club player !) several times!
Yesterday I received the new course “How to beat stronger Players” from Igor Smirnov and I already watched and studied a good bit of it.
Again, this course is *SUPER*! I have learnt so much already from the first few modules and I am confident, that I will beat MUCH stronger opponents very soon (I plan to become a club player in the summer time…)!

“I have increased my standard chess rating approximately 100 points in a month.”

This course is a piece of art. It teaches you to play creative beautiful chess. Using the positional sacrifice concept I was able to play more beautiful games more frequently.
Also, the course is a good stress on the psychology of winning and helps you play with a really winning attitude. Focusing on being problematic to your opponent really makes him feel bad, especially if he expects you to be weak. Using counter blows -even if not well calculated – I was able to get advantages in inferior positions against human opponents .
Also I have a good progress playing chess online and increased my standard chess rating approximately 100 points in a month and a half since I bought Igor’s Courses”

This has the potential to bring your play to a level that might not previously thought possible.”

“How to Beat Titled Players” is without doubt the most advanced course presented by GM Smirnov until now. Yet there is no extensive foreknowledge needed to benefit from this course. This course is for this also suitable for talented kids who want a to lift there play to a higher level.

Those already familiar with the quality of the previous courses of GM Smirnov, I can assure that also this course exceeds expectations.

As with previous courses, the key concepts are clearly explained and illustrated with concrete examples. This visual approach allows you to memorize this concepts easy. This contrasts with books where everything is explained with an algebraic notation. I think during a chess game using images and not an algebraic notation. Is this also the case for you?

That GM Smirnov beside a chess player also a psychologist is, is clear from the first lesson. There is no explanation of how the opponent hypnotizes but how you can force a opponent, also a strong opponent, to make mistakes that you can exploit. For clarity, these techniques are methods to find good moves. Such good moves that their psychological impact on your opponent is profound.

What weapons might be used to achieve this and how to handle them is explained in several lesson. These weapons are analogous to the techniques of a practitioner of martial arts. The different lessons are organized around a skill that is divided into sub techniques so that you clearly know what actions you need to perform so you can integrate them into your systematical thought process.
Interestingly, all these techniques can be used in almost every game. It is not a collection of obscure tricks that seldom can be applied.

Special is that these techniques are complementary so that when they’re well mastered they are mutually reinforcing. This has the potential to bring your play to a level that might not previously thought possible. I am sure that you also will be convinced of this potential even after the first time you are going through the course material. This will contribute to your motivation to exercise these techniques so that they become routine. Motivation is necessary, because, although the techniques are easy to understand, much time and efforts will be needed to master these techniques (at least for me). To guide this in efficient manner in the good direction, plenty high quality and to the point exercises and tasks are included in the practical part of the course.

What are you waiting for? Just a few clicks further is the clear explanation of the skills that you have been looking for so long. No more dry and boring games. Learn to use weapons which you make a tough opponent.

Actually, I wasn’t going to share this information with a huge audience. I’ve had doubts about whether or not I should give such a powerful chess weapon to everyone. After all, I am also a titled player, and I don’t want everyone to be able to beat me! 🙂

So why I have created this program? Well, it is for your merit! I have received a lot of e-mails with the customers’ gratitude for my previous courses. It has motivated me to create something highly valuable for you. Here it is…
