Overview
This is a comprehensive course that will set you apart from most chess players.
The course will help you become a 1st category player and will allow you to reach an Elo rating of 2000 points, or the strength of a player of that caliber.
The presenters put their best foot forward to create a robust chess course that will help you progress up to the 1st category (2000 FIDE Elo).
You can follow the recommendations of Grandmaster Igor Smirnov, International Master Maxi Pérez, and experienced coach Angelos Kesaris in order to get all the necessary tools to your road to 2000 rating.
What is inside the course?
This course is a step-by-step guide to becoming a 1st category player.
The course contains theoretical video lessons from 3 different authors. In addition to that, you can test your new skills in the practice section.
The practice is composed of 50 analyzed games grouped into 5 different categories. The videos with the tasks and the solutions make you learn a lot more! Thus, you’re going to understand all the ideas very well, and you can compare them with your own replies.
How is this course going to help me?
You’ll learn:
a) What are the main things that helped the course’s authors progress up to 2000 Elo?
b) What are the most common mistakes of 1200-1500 level players and how to overcome them.
c) Why do lots of players get stuck at a certain level and never improve after that?
First, you will gain a strong foundation for your chess progress that will help you easily understand what you should prioritize, but also what your main roadblocks to progress are, and how to fight against them.
In the 2nd step, you’ll learn: what is the most important thing to increase your level fast, the most common mistakes students have with the opening, why the classics are good for our games, and some powerful psychological tips.
In the 3rd step, you will learn more advanced ideas that will give you an additional edge. These more complicated ideas will be much simpler to understand after you have done the first step.
Why 2000 Elo?
This is an achievable yet ambitious goal. Only the top 5% of chess players have this rating or more.
Powerful Practical Tasks
It is necessary to put the received knowledge into practice. There are 5 practical tasks (over 50+ games) in this course that will help you understand and remember the ideas of the course better.
The training program has a detailed explanation of what and exactly how you should do the practical tasks.
You’ll train planning, attacking, defending, tactics, calculation, and endgames.
Practice
The practice section of this course contains 10 special videos with instructions and guidance in order to help you solve the tasks and learn from the process.
About the Authors:
Igor Smirnov is a chess Grandmaster, Chess Coach, and holder of a Master’s degree in Psychology.
He founded the “Remote Chess Academy”, a company that has helped thousands of students worldwide to improve their chess results.
He has developed lots of chess video lessons, articles, webinars and training courses, including the famous courses “The Grandmaster’s Secrets”, “The Grandmaster’s Positional Understanding”, and “Calculate Till Mate”.
Angelos Kesaris, born in Greece 1982. He is a FIDE National Instructor (2011).
He is a professional chess coach who works in many Greek chess clubs; with more than 15 years of experience.
He works as the Academy Manager in the “Remote Chess Academy” since 2016; helping the company create many courses.
Maximiliano Pérez is a chess player and coach from Argentina, and International Master with a 2451 ELO.
For some time now, he has been creating lessons for the “Remote Chess Academy”.
Dedicated to the training of players with ambitions to progress from 1500 to 2200, he works on all aspects of chess, including the psychological, giving advice, and showing different game situations with his own examples.
His main goal as a coach is to explain the correct way of thinking about positions on and off the board.
